Parents, so sorry but please note that we do not take reservations for places, so please refrain from sending us email requests which we have to say no to! From 2011, due to overwhelming responses for registrations, camp registration will be conducted on a by-invitation basis only (and even then, on first-come-first-served basis. )

We are really sorry that we cannot accede to all your requests for camp places, but why don’t you contact your own church to encourage the children ministry leaders to run their own children’s enrichment camps? All our volunteers are NOT working in the church (except a handful of pastors and other church and kindergarten staff), so by faith this is totally possible! We’ll be very, very happy to share our experience with you all – just drop us an email and let us know at cec@trbc.org.sg.

CEC countdown: 7 days! Pray today for the stations: (a) ask for stamina for those who are leading GAMES during the week, (b) that God will use the MISSIONS teacher to spread enthusiasm for missions, (c) that God will give creativity and patience to teachers working in the ARTS/CRAFTS station, (d) pray for the MUSIC volunteers, that God will give them energy that will excite kids to learn through the awesome music and actions. (e) Thank God for the strength He provides to deal with the schedule and the needs that may arise during CEC2011!

‎8 days left! Pray today! (1) Ask for God to help the children who attend VBS to increase in wisdom concerning His Word (Luke 2:52). (2) Pray for those working in CEC to be steadfast and excel in the Lord’s work. Help them know that their labour is not in vain (1 Cor 15:58). (3) Pray for the teachers and bible study leaders to effectively learn and communicate Bible truths to the children they teach.

Monday prayer: Pray that all the kids and volunteers will seek Jesus with all their hearts before, during and after the camp. Pray for a shield of protection around the CEC. Let no root of bitterness spring up to cause trouble. This is spiritual warfare! Heb 12:15

On the final day of this year’s CEC, we have a special treat for all parents – two seminars to help you as you raise your children in this difficult age. Please do register for one of these two seminars available. Feel free to invite your friends as well!

Seminar (1) 讲座 1 Topic: NURTURING YOUR CHILD’s EQ 培养孩子的情商
*to be conducted in ENGLISH 英文讲座
Speaker: Ms Lee Kay Lin (李家琳)
Synopsis: A saying goes “IQ is what gets you through school; EQ is what gets you through life.” In this workshop, parents will learn more about EQ for children, and pick up games and tips they can apply to help raise emotionally intelligent children.
Speaker’s Profile: Kay Lin is a trained counselor; she previously worked with the Singapore Children’s Society at their Family Service Centre as a counsellor, and is experienced leading group work for adults and children.

It’s that time of year again where we roll up our sleeves and start work in earnest to get this year’s camp going – and once again, we’re asking if you’d like to come on board as our volunteers! If you can make it from 30 Nov – 3 Dec to help out as a co-teacher, class aide, or help in any other way in the stations or logistics or in the kitchen or outing etc… PLS VOLUNTEER!

CEC 2011: Thank you for your support

Dear parents and friends,

Thank you for your support. Due to overwhelming response from early-phase registration for TRBC and TRBK children, registration is now closed. As a result, we will NOT be conducting online registration this year.

However, we are so pleased to note that many other churches in Singapore are running Lifeway’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) package, so you can still call these other churches who are running the same programme to explore possibilities for your child. The churches (that we know of!) are:

Kaypoh Road Baptist Church (River Valley) http://www.kprbc.org.sg - usually held around the same time as our CEC camp so do call them and ask
International Baptist Church (http://www.ibcs.org) - usually held in June though, so this may be over
Ambassador Baptist Church (Sembawang) http://www.ambassador-baptist.org - held in June 2011, but their website states “biannual VBS camp” so do call them to ask!

If you know of any other churches hosting VBS in Singapore, do let us know via email at cec@trbc.org.sg – if there’s a sizable number, we will put up a public listing on the right side of this website for everyone’s benefit.

Have you gotten your birthday cards?

Since 2009, we’ve had a system by which your teachers send you birthday cards each year on the week of your birthday (we TRY very hard to hit the dates.) Have you gotten yours? If you have, YAY! If you haven’t, it’s probably because::

a. It’s not your birthday yet.
b. The person who registered you gave your DOB wrong, or worse, your address.

Address mistakes are the number #1 reason why you don’t get your cards. So make sure mom/dad/aunty/uncle register correctly the next time around!
